Brief Description:

From October 18th – 22th, the international scientific community meets in Matera, the European Capital of Culture for 2019, to discuss the theme of water resources within the project “Aqua 2015”, of which lead partner is Basilicata.
Water as resource, but the issue will be addressed as well from the historical and anthropological perspective. In addition,  public policies will  meet with research and innovation.
This is the theme around which researchers, policy makers and scientists will discuss within the “Mediterranean Forum on water resources” to be held in Matera (October 18 to 22).
The event, organized by the Basilicata Region, the Regional Agency for the Environment of Basilicata and the University of Basilicata, is an important opportunity to open a discussion on the  water resources and their major impact for climate, culture, public policies and the production system.
The International Congress will take place for four days, every day will be focused on a specific theme. The themes of the four sessions will be the following:

Archeology, History, Anthropology

Business Framewok

Water

Territorial Policies

Plenary sessions will be held during the morning. In the afternoon parallel sessions will take place. Several research international Institutions, control agencies and public administrations will be involved.

The plenary sessions will be held during the morning and in the afternoon will be held parallel sessions in which the main actors will be the research, the control bodies and local administrations.

During the conference, the regions participating in “AQUA2015” will have public spaces for the exhibition of photographs, videos and music on the topic.
